US Army Westpoint Class of 1993 Custom Derby Cover

I met this client at Sturgis last August. He is a 1993 graduate of the United States Military Academy, and wanted a custom derby cover made with his class pennant.

This was a fairly tricky sculpt. Frequently, I see two-dimensional designs like this that imply a lot of depth, with one element overlapping on another. All the sculpting I do is done by hand, and there is a lot to consider when you render designs like this into a 3D, bas relief space.
