This was a special project. The client is building a custom bike to honor his family’s WWII legacy. In his own words:
It will be dedicated to our greatest generation, my grandparents. My grandmother was a Rosie on B-17’s working for Douglas. Her husband (my Papa) was in the Army stationed in Alaska and my Dad’s father was a Bataan Death March survivor and 2 year POW in a Japanese prison camp. I will definitely send you pictures when it’s completed but it’ll be next year more than likely. Such awesome work, I’m glad I can across this when I did, absolutely nothing compares to your work.
The derby cover is a modification of my standard US Army design, changing the text on the outer ring to say “ARMY AIR FORCES”.
The timing cover is a custom sculpt based on the “Hap Arnold Wings” insignia.
