The client, who is an avid hunter, approached me with the idea of sculpting a deer skull and antlers design. As an added twist, he wanted the outer rim to be sculpted with barbed wire.
Pretty cool stuff.
One detail I’m particularly pleased with is how I was able to put a high polish on the ends of the antlers, and have them fade into a more textured appearance as they got closer to the skull. It’s one of those details almost no one will ever notice, but it makes me feel good!
