Had a fantastic time at Bikes Blues and BBQ! This was my first time ever presenting at a bike rally, and the headline here is it was awesome!
The best part of the week was that my daughter, Lydia, was able to join me. She is fun to hang out with. Fantastic quality time week with her.
We were in the vendor area in a vacant lot/alley in downtown Rogers. That was the worst part of it. I ended up pretty disappointed in our location. The rally organizers didn’t do us any favors with that. The guys out at the Pig Trail HD got WAY more action.
If we go again next year, I’ll probably look to go to Pig Trail. The only way they could get me to go downtown again is if they put the vendor area along the main street, and not down in the alley way.
Not that we didn’t get any traffic. We got quite a bit. I only kept rough count, but we gave away about 500 of our Omaha Derby Covers stickers.
It was really awesome meeting so many bikers! Everyone was so easy going and friendly. I loved showing off my work, and got a lot of positive response.
I should have made a point of taking more pics, but I’ve got a few:
Lots of lessons learned with this rally. Lesson #1 is “Take more pics of the bikes!”
