I’m a big fan of the Harley Davidson Evo era. This article on Biker Net from Scooter Tramp Scotty sums things up well. If you’re an Evo guy and you haven’t stumbled across that article before, take a few minutes and give it a read. It’s right on the money.
For me, The Evo era (1984 to 1999) was the perfect moment in time where HD figured out how to deliver reliability, but before they got hung up on making everything overly complex. I like Evos so much, I collect Evo era Harley Davidson brochures. I don’t do as good a job as I should getting them scanned and uploaded, but you can see them here.
Go ahead an browse through my book of designs here. A lot of them originated with Shovelhead/Evo three hole sizing. The ones that didn’t can all be adapted to the Evo.
